Christmas Craziness and Festive Fun (and some real work!)
As usual at this time of year, the school has a certain festive feel to it, however business must go on! More information about Christmas shortly but in the meantime:
We have been working very hard at improving the quality of our writing. The children have been using amazing descriptions and connectives in their writing for a more mature feel to their writing. Using comics, we connected ideas and sections of a story (about pom-poms) so that they flowed sequentially.
We spent some time recently analysing a landscape and enhanced a very basic description using an array of techniques; adverbs and adjectives were used to expand descriptions as were adverbials. Simile was used to help the reader visualise the text and also to give a hint as to the writer's style. These fantastic little pieces are up in the main school area and we'd be delighted if you came and read them!

Primary 6 have been learning how to make PowerPoints and created one on the Rainforest. Here is an example of one by Ethan and Alex
